Coronation Year Edward VII. In the following pages will be found some account of every Mayor in England and Wales holding the office for the Coronation Year, and in the great majority of cases Portraits both of the Mayor and Mayoress as well are given. No effort has been spared to obtain Portraits in every case, but the few instances in which this has been impossible, or in which only the Mayor's Portrait could be got, has made it necessary to depart from an exact alphabetical arrangement in order to preserve the symmetry of the work, and a full index both of names and towns has therefore been placed at the end.
