On February 11, 1756, a girl was born to a father who was to become famous in Birmingham's history. She, herself, was to have her name splashed generously across the more purple passages of the city's annals. She was Catherine Hutton, the daughter of a man who made Birmingham his adopted town and became its first historian.  She died in Birmingham on March 31, 1846 at the age of 90.  She had written three novels, edited her father's " Life ", contributed sixty papers and short stories to various periodicals and collected over 2,000 autographs of people famous in Midland and national life.
